Theme, graphics and soundtrack

If you aren’t consistently bad tempered, you cannot fail to find the visuals and sound of Funky Fruits at least slightly funny. It transports us to a beach facing the open sea, with a surfboard on one side and a highball glass on the other. The reels are resting on an overturned wooden crate, which seemed to be quite clever for us. The fruits have been made into anthropomorphic characters that might remind older fans of the fridge in TV’s The Young Ones. These fruits dive and screech as they spin through the reels. While waiting between spins they make exclamations, cries, giggles and even blow plum kisses some of them do. All very silly, but it is good bright fun filled with colour.

1. Funky Fruits does not have a conventional mixture of paylines; it simply has five rows on which you may match five of a kind.

This game is not complicated at all. Press the play button and hope for the best. The only difference is the jackpot option, but in terms of basic gameplay, when one gets bored with graphics there might be no reason to keep playing. We liked the avalanche feature too, so that whenever you won, symbols that matched would burst and others fall down to take their place until no more combinations are formed.
