Theme, graphics and soundtrack

Two heavy curtains, which are red, are drawn apart to remind us of the play’s theatrical past as well as one of Disney’s earliest movie successes. Gepetto’s workshop is shown through a metallic framework that is quite interesting and ornate. On top of the grid, two candles burn and the symbols move in front of a black screen seeming unsupported. Instead of ending abruptly when it stops spinning, they gently float in air with almost imperceptible indications of animation. It is interesting to notice how Pinocchio looks above the grid on a progress bar showing his anxiety state.
