Design and Graphics

Queen of Diamonds is a luxurious and sumptuous theme with a regal air around it, which is exuberant of the power and glory associated with absolute rule! The design of the game seemed to me somehow like that in Alice in Wonderland and her solemn demeanor was similar to that of Red Queen who used to shout “off with his head!”

Moreover, the Queen of Diamonds is very unique. We really liked the reel mechanism and how instead of spinning they flip cards around. This is quite a twist and it’s even more dramatic with the Queen looking imperiously over the reels.

She is incredulously designed with a surrealism touch that can be noticed in the other characters as well-of the jester and card soldiers that are also anthropomorphic. This slot has an aspect of a fairytale, dream-like quality.

But what really sticks out are the extra features. Joker Bonus is something totally different: there is a giant jester that appears on the screen and War Bonus is even more exciting. The troops take their positions as the fight begins, the lines of playing card soldiers march towards each other to meet in battle. It’s dramatic, beautiful and faintly bizarre, all qualities that can be used to describe Queen of Diamonds perfectly.
